Marco Trombetta

Where is your hometown?
Milan, Italy

What do you teach?
Financial Accounting (in the MBA, MIF, MIAF, Global EMBA programs, and the AMP in Executive Education)

Your favorite spot in Madrid?
Killer Discos (calle Montera 28). I never manage to come out without a new vinyl in my hand. They really have a great selection.

What book is currently on your nightstand?
More Money than God by Sebastian Mallaby.

What is one of the most valuable, yet underrated skills in business?

What is your favorite quote?
“Only he who does nothing never makes a mistake.” An old friend of mine told me this a long time ago when I apologized for a mistake I made. It still keeps me going every time I stumble…

And your favorite thing about teaching?
Meeting new people every year and trying to increase their curiosity about the topic. When you manage to do that, it really feels great!

What did you want to be when you grew up?
A Formula 1 driver.
