Where is your hometown?
Eugene, Oregon, USA.
What do you teach?
Managerial Accounting.
And what do you like most about teaching?
Interacting with my students, particularly the executives. I learn a tremendous amount from them.
You’re currently living in Melbourne, Australia. What’s to like about that?
Melbourne is a fantastic place to explore. There is always something interesting going on — festivals, markets, celebrations. And the food is amazing, both the raw materials and the restaurants.
Where is your favourite spot in Melbourne?
The Queen Victoria Market.
So you like to cook?
Yes, I enjoy cooking, that and baking help me relax. Reading is good for that too.
What kind of books do you like to read?
Fiction, fantasy, science fiction.
What else do you do when you can find the time?
One of my favourite things is to travel somewhere I have never been before. I particularly like to explore new places.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A medical doctor.
Is there something you’ve done for which you are particularly proud?
I am a 4th degree blackbelt in Taekwondo.
