Where is your hometown?
Shoranur, a tiny town in the South Indian state called Kerala. But I grew up in Sharjah, UAE.

The books on your bedside table?
Shantaram: A Novel by Gregory David Roberts and Closure of the Helpdesk — A Geek Tragedy by Ali Sheikh (on my Kindle.)

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I was absolutely positive I wanted to be a car mechanic.

What is one of the most valuable, yet underrated skills in business?
The ability to be open minded, to ask, “why not?”

What is your favorite quote?
There are a few and some are not really quotes but words I like to read often:

  • “The mind, once expanded to the dimensions of larger ideas, never returns to its original size.” – O.W. Holmes
  • The script from the Apple commercial “Think Different”
  • The poem “If” by Rudyard Kipling

What is your favorite thing about teaching?
The constant learning that comes from teaching.

Courses in Information Systems, Outsourcing, Technology, and Innovation Management in the IMBA, the GMBA, and in the BBA.
